Yanmar America Names Katsumi Deguchi New Executive Vice President

Adairsville, GA – June 21, 2010 … YANMAR America Corporation announced today that Katsumi Deguchi will assume the role of Executive Vice President, reporting to Thomas Calhoun, president of YANMAR America Corporation. Deguchi, a graduate of Waseda University, brings over 33 years of experience in Yanmar’s core businesses including his most recent post as Chief Manager of the Compact Industrial Engine’s Sales & Marketing department at Yanmar’s global headquarters in Osaka, Japan. In addition to Deguchi’s experience in the industrial engine market he has held senior management positions within Yanmar’s Construction Equipment and Power Systems divisions giving him broad exposure to all areas of Yanmar’s business activity. Deguchi aims to contribute to increased North American market penetration of products, increased recognition and value of the Yanmar brand, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Deguchi will assume his position on June 21st . He succeeds Tetsuya Yamamoto, who has been named to a senior management position overseeing global strategy at Yanmar global headquarters in Osaka, Japan.
