History of Yanmar's Agriculture Products
Yanmar's experience with agricultural machinery reaches back over 70 years when they established a reputation of excellence in manufacturing by developing the worlds first small horizontal diesel engine in 1933. Four years later in 1937 they built upon their engine expertise by producing a simple diesel tractor popular with farmers in Japan. Ever since those early days Yanmar has been a pioneer in high-quality diesel-engine machinery evidenced by the numerous accolades the company has received such as the Gold Diesel Medal from the Inventors' Association of Germany and the prestigious Deming Prize for excellence in quality control.
Yanmar's presence in the United States dates back to 1979 when Yanmar Tractor, U.S.A. was established and Yanmar began selling compact tractors in America. Today Yanmar America's Equipment Division continues to build upon a reputation of unsurpassed quality in the United States. Yanmar's Utility Tractor and T-80 customers continue to rely on our products for power, performance, and productivity to get the job done.
